Srinagar, June 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the second Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report has confirmed that the teenaged girl Asiya and Neelofer were gang raped before their murder in Shopian on May 30.

The second FSL report furnished on Friday made it clear that the 17-year-old Asiya and her 23-year-old pregnant sister-in-law Neelofer were gang raped before their murder.

The second FSL report, which was submitted to the Justice Jan Commission, (JIC) on Friday confirmed that the two women were gang raped. The revelation came after proper observation of the samples of body fluid of the two women taken separately by the teams of doctors of Pulwama and Shopian submitted their respective reports. The report has confirmed the presence of multiple spermatozoa thereby making it clear that more than one person had raped the two women.

However doctors who had conducted the post mortem of the two bodies had already apprehended before the Justice Jan Commission that the women were gang raped and not died of drowning or suicide. The investigation team had also recovered a folded blanket, which, might have been used to carry the bodies of Neelofer and Asiya.

Earlier, report had confirmed the rape and murder but the second report revealed that both the girl and women was gang raped. Earlier, doctors had also confirmed that it was gang rape and murder.

With the involvement of men in uniform, efforts were made to hush up the case by police from the very beginning. The drowning theory was floated to shield the killers and mislead the people, the local people said.

Meanwhile, the nine-member committee of the Shopian Bar Association and the Traders declined the invitation of Deputy Commissioner Shopian to meet him.
